Maintaining one’s personal hygiene is very crucial for one to maintain good health.

People should ensure they brush their teeth regularly.

This helps in avoiding fungal and bacterial infections in the teeth.

It also ensures good breath which is good for one’s health.

Moreover, there is a connection between living for a longer period and the flossing of the teeth. But the most interesting thing about it is that nobody knows exactly why it is so.
There are only hypotheses which try to explain this. Many people claim that people who floss their teeth tend to be a bit more health conscious than those who do not. They are therefore more likely to observe health regulations. It is also the advice of health experts for people to floss their teeth in order to improve their health. Therefore, why not give it a trial, because it may work for you:

Other hygienic practices include:

Washing inner cloths and changing them often.

Cutting nails so that there is no chance for dirt accumulating in them which may cause infections. Furthermore, regular washing of hands should not be limited to only when eating or after using the bathroom. Every time you enter the house after a long days work or after visiting the supermarket or your neighbor, wash your hands with soap and water and rinse them thoroughly. Regular washing of hands will ensure that ant germs that have been passed on surfaces and by people do not get into the house. It is especially important to wash after using the toilet or before having a meal.

Reading good / interesting books; Reading is the food of the mind. The brain needs food and some exercise so that it can grow. When one reads, he / she is open to opportunities, good ideas thinks positively. Also, the connection between reading and exercise is that if you read and exercise as well, you are able to think faster and assimilate whatever is being read by you, other parts of your body will be more coordinated and alert than that of an individual who do not read and exercise respectively. Proper coordination of body organs is good for proper health and it aids in their proper functioning and therefore are able to carry out their duties well.

Wearing warm clothes which make one comfortable and keep away from cold.

Take a time-off; the body just like any other machine needs rest so it can refresh itself and function properly. For one to maintain good health, it is important that he takes sometime off his / her duty so that the body cells can be refreshed by themselves. This can be done at regular intervals during normal working hours. Also, one can take a time-off for some days just to relax and refresh his / her mind, which helps the brain to get new energy to coordinate other body parts for proper functioning. The heart will get more energy to pump fresh blood to various body parts which direly need it.

One should ensure he / she wears dry and warm pair of socks.

Try something new: trying something new regularly and succeeding at it is both mentally librating and physically stimulating. Even if the person involved does not succeed at the adventure but at least it gives the person the impetus and the curiosity to work, which will also aid the urge to try out new things daily.

Take a walk almost daily; this makes one to feel refreshed and stress is released in the process.

People should work on projects that they enjoy which gives them an opportunity to show creativity; instead of being involved in meaningless, tedious work, people should be more involved in healthy, rewarding work by creating time daily so that they can be satisfied, happy in their daily life, and have the motivation in pursuing their own interest which is more important for the well being / health of an individual.

Engage in social activities; this reduces the chances of getting stressed up. If people are able to share their life experiences with other people, they are likely to get advice / tips which will help them in avoiding stress and improve on their health conditions. Furthermore, there is a good feeling that comes when one engages in charitable activities for the sake of society. This gives one satisfaction and joy in his heart. It also helps one to relax and put away all the pressures which are good for one’s health. Therefore, one should not waste an opportunity to get involved in social activities, because it is very crucial for good health.

This helps in reducing the chances of fungal infections and even rotting of the feet.

GENERAL HEALTH HABITS

Personal hygiene is of prime importance to all of us.
We need to be healthy, filled with abundant energy, sound sleep, and fit and disease free body, which will give us a sense of overall well being.
In order to be fit and healthy we need to practice healthy living styles with proper food habits and exercise.
We cannot be healthy if we are lazy and lethargic.
We need to work hard both physically and mentally to be fit and healthy.
Besides exercise, we also need to eat healthy foodstuffs avoiding junk foods, which make us lethargic and dull.
If you are over weight and obese you will suffer from health problems.
So you need to maintain an optimum body weight to be healthy.

You need to follow healthy and positive habits which include:

1) Positive thinking is very essential in order to be healthy. You need to clear out your mind and fill it with positive thoughts. You will have to remove all the depressing and negative emotions and thoughts from your mind and replace it with healthy and positive thoughts. These positive thoughts can be extremely energizing and always lead to good things in life. You can get involved in practices such as meditation and yoga to get rid of the negativity and force yourself with positive thoughts.

2) You need to eat healthy foods in order to be fit and healthy. Simple food stuffs like vegetables, fruits, nuts, tubers, lean meat, pulses, can keep you healthy and strong. Try to avoid refined foodstuffs. The main reason for ill health and diseases is improper food habits. Because of this many people suffer from diseases like diabetes, cancer, obesity. Simple changes in your diet and causes a great difference within a short period and can improve your health drastically. Try to avoid smoking and alcoholic drinks. For good health, you need to exercise daily.

3) Exercising in the morning can leave you with a refreshed feeling throughout the day. Exercising can put you in a good mood and it will be easier for you to think positively and eat healthy foods. You can also get involved in activities such as swimming, biking, walking or playing your favorite sport in order to keep you healthy .Do not go for an activity which you do not enjoy. Try to do your work outs in the open air. In this way you will feel more refreshed. You should not make drastic changes in your life style. You should start with simple changes and make sure that you enjoy it. You try to make these simple changes in to a regular habit in order to achieve long term success. It is very important to improve your health in order to be happy and enjoy life.

4) You need to have good sleep and rest in order to be healthy. Sound sleep can refresh your mind and make you feel healthy.

All these simple changes in your life style can improve your health and make you feel strong and fit.
You will feel a sense of well being, both emotionally and physically.
